(I have read your bio as you wished. My deepest apologies for having not been online in some time. Alas, I have found time to RP with you as requested. My skills may be rusty, you will have to make due.)

Compounds converging Moles to Mass, Mass to Moles. Tirelessly in his chair a man with a skeleton looking appearance worked away on conversions written down on a grid paper. As a scientist, he was a genius in this field of chemistry. His white pasted hand tore into the paper with blackened ink, his eyes plastered on the work beneath him.

In order to complete his work he always found himself having to overachieve, making sure every aspect of his data was right. If even one small mistake, everything could go wrong with the procedure, this was why everything must be 100% accurate in his data. The psychotic Captain stood from his podium dropping the pen down while it carelessly rolled off the desk to the floor without an ounce of care. Mayuri was the Captain of Squad 12 in the Gotei 13, second founder of the Research and Development Bureau. His work was tiring, hardly had he been given a break always being kept busy. If it wasn't some accident one of his subordinates caused, an assignment to be dispatched out of Soul Society by the Head Captain, or his research that required his presence. Captain Kurotsuchi was a hard working man with a cold heart, he treated his men treacherously without a simple care for what became of them. He was not revealed as a man with sentimental value but the complete opposite. Emotions had ceased to get the best of him, they were only an obstacle in his yearn for success. Apprehending him was near impossible, his mind worked differently than the species he had come across, even his own. Mayuri was obscure, only one individual understood him that well, but they were long since deceased leaving him to nothing but a bare shell of hate for the world he lived in. Mayuri was heartless, he felt nothing for others, only the love for science and knowledge.

Dispatching himself into the human world he always found something of great interest there, that was where he found her but there was no chance his heart would leap to the chance of seeing her there. She was dead, he knew this. He was foolish for even thinking he'd see her there. In the absence of his prior research, he would obtain something new while making a visit to the Precipe world. Once opening a garganta, the Captain stepped through to the other side in the midst of an abandoned cafe in a plaza while looking around. When outside, the day was just brewing, it was early morning here. He had plenty of time to find something interesting. While here he would do some research and take samples of the particles in the air, investigating the cause of the elements he had previously been working on in his lab book.
He had only half of these elements back in the bureau, he needed to obtain the others while here. The air in the Soul Society was different from that in the Precipe world, that is why he needed to trap oxygen from this world and take it home with him. From some of his other experiments, he needed to obtain Magnesium as well. This was the perfect place to find that which he is looking for.

Yesterday is History, Tomorrow is a Mystery and Today is a gift. Well, that's the saying Rin had heard one too many times and for what today held, even he couldn't tell. He guessed he'd just have to wait and find out.

Rin Okumura was just a average 15 year old kid, at least that is what he thought for he knew not what he truly was. He found it strange how he could see things that some others couldn't. But maybe it was just a figment of his imagination. Today, the kid had managed to get up earlier than usual, for he usually overslept until at least the afternoon. It was nice, getting fresh air before the hectic hours arrived where everyone's daily lives began. Shopping, Socialising and all of that. He had free-time on his hands so what better way to spend it than to go off exploring, which is what he did. Throughout the many years of being in Karakura, Rin still didn't know his way around properly. He had gotten lost many times before and had already gotten lost now with no more than fifteen minutes of travelling.

He paused on a stoned ground, hands deep in the pockets of his Dark-Blue Trousers as he looked around tiredly, it was quiet. Too quiet in fact. He was used to hearing at least something excluding his breaths in the cool air. Some life at least, a bird in the tree, a cricket in the bush. But there was nothing. Strange. Lifting his right hand from the depth of his pocket, Rin brought his hand up to the back of his head as a big yawn broke free from his mouth. Scratching the back of his hair as his fingers glided through the strands of his Dark-Blue Spiky hair, Rin looked around again.

Where was he....?

He brought his hand back down so that it rested on the side of him before he took another step. The small sound of a pad meeting with the stoned ground echoed throughout the area for a split second or two before Rin began walking at a more slower pace, looking around before he arrived to what looked like a plaza. Rin took a moment to observe his new surroundings carefully. Although something caught his attention and when he took the time to have a second glance in that direction he couldn't help but notice a abandoned cafe of some sort. But that wasn't it. It was what caught his attention, Tilting his head to the side, Rin had spotted someone who looked as if they were dressed up for Halloween, but this was Rin. He'd of course think something stupid like that and he didn't know anything about the Soul Society, Shinigamis or anything of that sort. The kid opened his mouth to say something but no words came out, what should he say? Why was someone out here anyway. But the same question could just be directed back at him and he didn't want top make a stupid comment on this whole 'halloween' display, it would be rude.

"Didn't really think I would see someone out here..."

Rin spoke finally, now that those words have been spoken. He couldn't unspeak them. He just waited.

Mayuri figured he was alone at this hour of the day, it would seem his assumptions did him wrong. There was one individual who was awake at this hour running about, bias enough to call out to him. He found it odd that someone of the boys caliber could see him, he truly was an unsightly boy. Judged on first appearance Mayuri could pin-point most there is to know about the boy just by his looks. He smelled of foods of this world and not of his own, he must have either just eaten or cooked something himself. A foul feral grin smeared across Mayuri's face, his curiosity standing on edge bewildered that this boy could lay eyes on him. There was no one else around but them, there was no doubt that he spoke to him.

"You are of no great interest to me boy. Do not converse with the likings of I." Wading a hand down at him, Mayuri did this out of sheer interest entirely. He was interested in the young lad, that is why he would shoo him away. If he was hard-headed like the scientist assumed, the boy would grow angered that he ignored his approach and act upon it. If the boy failed to do so then it meant he was of no great value. Meeting someone who had no thirst for knowledge was a bore, the lad looked like he was smart but alas, he could be stupid all the same, this he had yet to configure.
"Don't you have some toys to play with or what not? Do not waste my time if you are going to be a bothersome. I'm busy and unless you can assist me, I suggest you take your leave."

The man's appearance had over clouded Rin's thoughts so much that he didn't even have the chance to think what his personality or reaction to what he just spoke out towards him would be. It wasn't everyd ay you saw someone dressed like this and it was only natural, for Rin at least to be so caught up in the fascinating clothes and make-up this man in front of him was wearing. The boy opened his mouth to say something else before he was cut off.

Rin could feel his right eye twitching slightly, a soft growl soon over-took this before he clenched both hands together. How rude. Rin simply wanted a conversation or something that was more on the polite side and he got this, had he done something wrong or maybe something was on his face.

"Don't you have some toys to play with or what not? Do not waste my time if you are going to be a bothersome. I'm busy and unless you can assist me, I suggest you take your leave."

"Tc..." The boy growled once more before looking back towards the man. "W-What's your problem?! Do I look like a Five-Year Old or something?" He rose his voice so that it was almost high enough to echo withint he area. "You could of at least said Good-Morning or something like that..." Rin was a type to not let things like that go past him so easily. He didn't know why, he just got so ticked off when someone was so rude like that to him. But then again, it wasn't helping with him treating the matter immaturely.

"Why should I assist someone who just said something like that anyway..." Rin grumbled, why was someone like him out here in the first place. It was obvious he needed something, but why this place out of
the whole of Karakura?

(Sorry to interupt but since Mayuri and I share the same laptop and it stopped working yesterday he can't reply to the rp. Only way I'm able to reply is cause I'm using my phone to reply and he doesn't want to use my phone since he doesnt like it. He says he's sorry, he'll reply to it when we get the laptop fixed.)

(well I have both an Iphone and Ipod and he doesn't like rp'ing on either. Cause the auto-correct and its harder to reply to long rp's without using small sentences. I get how he feels cause I'm the same way but due to the fact people tend to be slightly demanding with me getting to replies, I kinda have to. I already owe like 5 now T_T. But yeah, he'll get on when we get a new cord. Its the cord that stopped working so the laptop is completely dead. >__< Don't worry your not the only reply he owes xD Lol btw now that I'm reminded, this is Miharu. Mayuri laughed from the boy’s response. Saying good morning, him? Why would he ever do such a thing? These humans were inferior to him; he didn’t have time to be kind. He loathed feelings; they only got in the way of his goal. It was the boys own fault for getting in his way, had he a proper mind he would have seen Mayuri was a busy fellow on the brink of discovery.

“Kukuku, you have it wrong boy. Just because you find it appropriate to greet me, does not mean I have time for you.” He outstretched his arm, placing a white pasted hand on the lad’s dark blue hair, at the same time leaning into his personal space. The boy was shorter than him so Mayuri was forced to bend over a few inches. By these actions he could almost be mistaken for being Gin Icimaru’s twin with a far more outrageous personality. “I did not say you have to. I simply stated you are eligible to make yourself useful.”

Reaching into his haori beneath his indigo scarf, out he pulled a small device. Flipping the switch on the side of the metal contraction a yellow light began to blink on the screen showing it was turning on. The child hadn’t fled yet, even with Mayuri’s vial appearance and increasing spiritual pressure the boy did not flee nor fall. A very peculiar specimen he could turn out to be if he chose to take him back to Soul Society. As appealing as that idea sounded he knew he had a task to stick to, becoming sidetracked would only cause trouble.

Even if he was a sociopath like some claimed, he appreciated manors even if it did not seem like it. A creepy smile crept upon his lips as his face was inches from the boy’s own face. He did not like first name basis unless you were very familiar with one another so he expected this strange boy to uphold his expectations and refer to him by his last name. “Good morning. My name is Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Twelfth Squad Captain of the Gotei 13. What is your name?”

[center]The boy looked away again as the man began to laugh, he didn't know what was so funny, Perhaps he had said something although he had every ounce in his body to feel as if the man was mocking him or just being rude. Sure he had met people that been rude to him, who wouldn't? Only this man was different.

Rin looked back ahead, almost as if he were to say something but before he had the time to he felt the man's hand lay down on top of his hair. Rin narrowed his eyes slightly, anyone would of probably ran by now if some stranger got as close as that to someone else. Rin did feel uncomfortable of course but he didn't feel scared, even with the man being twice the height as his own.

Rin looked down to what was pulled out from the scarf, tilting his head a fraction to the right in confusion of what it was, it was a device but a strange one. The man had flipped the switch and a light had blinked on the screen. Rin opened his mouth to ask the question in his head although he suddenly forgot it at the sight of the man's creepy smile inches from his own face.

“Good morning. My name is Mayuri Kurotsuchi. Twelfth Squad Captain of the Gotei 13. What is your name?”

Rin stayed quiet for a few seconds, well the least he could do was answer..it was best not to get off on the wrong foot, right?

"Rin Okumura..."

Although he couldn't help but question, just what was the Gotei?

The boy was uneasy around him. Perfect.

“Rin Okumura?” That name sounded close to that wolf on the 7th squad, Komamura. Mayuri always had a reason if he did not like someone and a reason he had indeed for not liking the other Captain. Rin was feeling awkward with Mayuri in his personal space but this was how he liked to strike fear into his acquaintances. Before he could say anymore, the device in his hand made a high screeching noise catching his attention. The noise beeped from holding it before himself in front of Rin. It beeped at Rin.

Mayuri looked at the readings; the scales were at a high frequency. This boy was not just a boy; alas he was just like someone the scientist knew long ago. “You are not pure human,” Mayuri’s smile grew wider; perhaps he would find Rin to be a treasure trove after all. “You are part demon…Hehe, interesting…” Putting the device back in his haori after he turned it off, the Captain removed his hand and stood firm looking down at him. Soon enough the answers would come.

[center]Even though Rin called a few people by their first names, it felt only needed for him to be polite to the man and call him by his second name. Although Rin didn't mind what he was called by in return but now that he knew the man's name he would call him by his last, Kurotsuchi.

Rin jumped slightly at the sudden high-pitched sound emitting from the device in Kurotsuchi's hand. That's what he wanted to ask! It came back to him now. He didn't know what the device was as he had never seen something like it before. "Wh..What is that..." He asked be fore the noise beeped directly at him, the boy blinked for a second. It reminded him of a metal detector. He hadn't ever own nor used one but he had seen others used them before and with a little research he knew exactly what they were. But Kurotsuchi couldn't possibly have a metal detector, he felt as if it were something else.

"You are not pure human"

Rin looked up at the man with the look of confusion although clearly thinking this was some sort of joke. “You are part demon…Hehe, interesting…”

Rin stopped, this was a joke right...? Demon..? He had seen weird creatures before, Hollows and that sort, but he couldn't possibly be a demon. "W..What...?" He asked after a few minutes. This was a joke, it had to be.
"M-Maybe your getting confused, I mean..maybe there's those big creatures somewhere near here so it only beeped at that! Humans can't be demons or anything like that...I'm just Rin." The boy tried laughing it off, maybe he should go after all..He was sure that the device had misread or something like that. More importantly how on earth could a device read such things?

“Oh, this? This is a Reishi device I created myself. It detects high power. Each color represents something. The black color was the highest, more dominant of your powers. Humans are of a low caliber, they will not show any sign of frequency on this device because they are incapable of such abilities. Benevolence does not show up on the charts, but demonic and spiritual pressure does…”

Mayuri saw how innocent this half demon boy was, he wasn’t even aware of his own genes in his body. Such greatness he was capable of yet he denied it. Anything was possible with belief and proof. If you deny everything, you will never learn of all that is out there beyond the world and universes. An idea then popped into the scientists head to toy with Rin, if he could not believe in his own self, he would prove it to him by drawing out his powers. If Rin was anything like Lanna use to be, anger was what drew out the demon side, Mayuri simply had to find a way to dig under the boys skin.

"Created..yourself..?" Rin was surprised at how someone could create something like that but then again so much technology had been introduced to this world the past few years but most of that was done in teams. Just whom or what was this man?

"Spiritual Pressure...Is that the weird feeling in the air when those monsters appear...? It's in the air now actually now that I think about it..." Rin had realized that every time he had sensed this, 'spiritual pressure' each one was different, one was weak and another could be strong. Like the one he felt now, although he didn't really get where it was coming from.

“Don’t worry all too much. You’re weak anyways…You couldn’t possibly amount up to something; you may as well rot in this human world. I pity you, actually.”

Rin's eye twitched suddenly before he clenched his fist, the sound of the wind filled the area. "Shut up..." He growled under his breath. How could someone have such a change of heart like that...? Rin was quick to anger when it came down to it, although half of the time he didn't know if someone was being serious or joking. Only this time, the face, the tone and the words this man had on him suggested he wasn't otherwise. He had to calm himself, only he was finding it hard to...Yet he was falling right in to where Kurotsuchi wanted. If it kept up like this, the power within him would awaken.

“Of course, did you honestly think I’d use that pathetic technology in the precipe world? I am far more superior and intelligent than them, they cannot compare!” Mayuri bragged knowing he was a very smart man, a genius even. He could tell by speaking with someone if they were smart or idiotic. Some were capable but were ineligible. This boy was hard to tell but easy all the same. His attitude said a lot about him, but he was not quick to reveal anything about him either. This may be a little harder than he thought if he was going to interrogate and weasel out information from the lad.

“Shut up? My my you really are a little runt, have you no manors? I was only telling you the truth, it has nothing to do with if I like you or not. You can tell can’t you? I’m not lying…” His gold eyes for a second veered to his left feeling the spiritual pressure of hollows nearby. He wasn’t on patrol to take care of them; some other measly insignificant Soul Reaper could take care of it. As annoying as the screeching sound of the roaring soulless entity was, Mayuri was focused on the half demon child in front of him.

“You really are a stubborn boy. You can’t explain everything out there so why deny it? You may as well deny me…For only you can see me…If you don’t believe me, we can walk through a crowd, see if anyone will respond back…If you deny your demon self, you deny my existence before your very eyes.”

Rin frowned for a split second, this man was indeed more intelligent than Rin would possibly ever be, but Kurotsuchi's attitude really did somewhat scar Rin in a harsh way. “Shut up? He gritted his teeth together before his face grew pale, yet his body temperature was beginning to climb as so did his anger towards the man.

“You really are a stubborn boy. You can’t explain everything out there so why deny it? You may as well deny me…For only you can see me…If you don’t believe me, we can walk through a crowd, see if anyone will respond back…If you deny your demon self, you deny my existence before your very eyes.”

What was she getting at...? It was almost as if he were a ghost, could it be that no one would see him if they were to walk past them. The kid looked to the ground, he felt as if he couldn't get away from him, no he felt as if he wanted to land a hard punch against Kurotsuchi's jaw.

"Don't you dare...talk down on me..!!"

Rin's yell was heard suddenly, his voice echoing out. The look in his eyes changed at that split second and the other strangest of things had happened. He was on fire, blue flames emitted from his body at that time making Rin stop. He felt hot in temperature but the flames were not burning him ata ll. He looked down to his hands in shock. What was going on...This was a dream...no a nightmare. It had to be... "W..W..." Rin's breathing increased, this was all too confusing to him. He wasn't a demon...he was sure of it...But Rin couldn't help but think all of what Kurotsuchi h ad said was true. He was stubborn, but he disliked people telling him that, he had no clue what had happened to himself.

Mayuri saw how angry he got, he must have gotten under his skin like he intended after all. Watching the boy catch on fire was nothing special. He had seen attacks and transformations far greater than this, this was nothing compared to the horrors he’s seen in battle. At last Rin discovered it was the truth, he could no longer deny it. He saw it with his own eyes; Mayuri didn’t need to do anything else to enlighten the boy on his potential.

He really wasn't normal, after all these years of living.. It was no wonder he found it hard to blend in with the others around him or take in to consideration of the words he spoke could sometimes hurt the feelings of others. Even know all the pieces were finally fitting together, he still had that main inside him that only wished now that he was never born. Even so, Rin could no longer argue against what he was or that Kurotsuchi Mayuri really was right after all.

“Now do you understand?”

Rin avoided eye contact, he didn't know what to do or say. He simply nodded as he stopped clenching his fist, not caring about the small marks his nails made.

"I'm sorry..."

Rin only felt as if he had been downright rude to the man and that a sorry was needed for what he had done. That and he had possibly only just caused the man trouble and dragged him away from what he was doing in the first place. Although now that he had the time to calm down, his flames disappeared, leaving a Rin that was first seen.

Now that the boy knew, he may be of some value to the scientist. “Maybe you can help me after all…” A feral grin showed, getting closer to Rin. “I am search of, something. Perhaps you can assist me.”
Mayuri was looking for Magnesium which was found in rocks. It was a mineral that the human body required and absorbed, it was also what helped shaped rocks, what was found in tap water as well. It was possible to get supplements of it in pill form but Mayuri was in no mood to go searching for a drug store and causing a ruckus over something of less importance. There was other ways he could obtain it and keep focused on Rin. That was when experimentation popped into his head. He would dissect the half demon half human boy figuring out all he needed to know about him as well as obtaining the solid compound.

This may require force so he’d have to be quick about it, this boy didn’t seem like the type who would come easily but perhaps put up a fight. Cautious as Mayuri was, he would need to use his brain on this one in a method to bring him with.
Grabbing at a golden piece that replaced his ear, with a small twist it popped right off forming into a small scythe held together by a smooth long piece of flesh that could retract or expand at will. Thrusting his hand forward he tossed it at Rin with a forceful throw. At the aim, if coming into contact at all, it would pierce directly into his rib cage and hook onto one of the ribs, giving Mayuri leverage to pull him towards him and subdue him with a stimulant.

“Maybe you can help me after all…”

Rin snapped out of his thoughts as he finally made eye contact with the man again, Now that he had thought about it, he had no clue on if he could actually trust this man or not. Trust was a big word and it was hard to gain such a thing yet after all what has happened on this day since the meeting he was at lost whether he could or couldn't. What Kurotsuchi had told him of what he truly was, Rin could only wonder whether it was a curse or a blessing. As long as his powers couldn't hurt anyone, innocent that is then he was happy. He wouldn't really forgive himself if he hurt someone again, not after what happened in his past.

Although maybe the man had done him a favour of some sort, Rin may of just found out in a more harsher way in the future so it may just be it was a favour, if that was the case, Rin could only help but owe something back to the man in return. For what ever he needed help with, Rin would do so. That was of course it wasn't something out of the question.

"What is it...I'll help as long as it's not something stupid. " The kid still had that attitude with him but then again, what kid wouldn't. Rin was still a little pissed off but it would soon pass.
He looked at the man whom called himself a Captain of the Gotei 13. Watching him grab a hold one fo the golden pieces on the side of his head. What was he going to do..?

To his surprise it popped right off, forming some sort of weapon. Although that wasn't what Rin looked shocked about. It was held by what looked like flesh or some part of the man's body.

"W..J..Just what are you.." THe boy took a step back, coudl he honestly trust someone like that? Someone whom he didn't really know nothing about other than his position and his name. Rin panicked slightly before the weapon was thrown at him - He had to act fast or his death could possibly be what he had to pay for his recklessness. He throwed himself to the left, making a harash impact on the ground. Wincing for a second, he got on to his feet. "WHAT ARE YOU PLAYING AT?!"

He yelled, what had he done to deserve this? "Didn't you need help with something?!" Rin rubbed the back of his head from where it made a impact on the side of a rock. He didn't have time to worry about the state he was in now. hsi life was on the line.

The boy was already panicking but he did not attack back. This meant that the boy wasn’t as malevolent as he appeared and would come easy, he felt as though he owed Mayuri something in return for helping him with a discovery. It would be far easier if Mayuri hadn’t needed to use violence and simply talk to the boy into it instead.

Since the scythe missed its target, Mayuri pulled on the stringy flesh until the scythe retracted back to his hand then with a twist it reformed back to its original shape, slamming it against the spot where his ear should be. “You will become a reliable asset after all. I just had to make sure you were not as aggressive as you seemed. If talking you into it works, I would much rather prefer that.” Stretching his bony fingers he brought his hand up to his face smiling, his exceptionally long nail on his middle finger tracing against his lips. This meant he was in deep thought.

“I’ll make you an offer boy. You come back with me to my lab and let me operate on you. I will extract what I need from you and figure out what else there is to know about your genetics and let you know. This way we both get something out of it. A fair offer, is it not? You may be wondering why I cannot just dissect myself to get the compound I need but you are gravely mistaken…I’m not human, nor am demon…I’m already dead.” He knew that letting Rin know about him and Soul Society could be crucial and catastrophic just as long as he didn’t spill too much information. “I am what you would call a soul reaper. I am alive, yet I am dead. I am neither nor. That is why I will find no such Magnesium inside myself due to my body being made up differently…Then you come in…”

Rin sighed in relief when the scythe was placed back in it's original form. This had made him somewhat more alert now, he couldn't just think everyone was as nice as they seemed like he used to.

Talking in to it? What did he need help with... "A-Aggressive?!" Rin said, taking it as a insult. He didn't think he looked aggressive. Rin had only just noticed the length of the man's nail on his middle finger now that he was paying more attention. That'd must of taken forever to grow! Although he was obviously thinking of something Rin now had to wait patiently.

Rin felt the deep urge to laugh, this had to be some kind of joke. But that's what he had thought before, yet no one normal could hide a scythe in place pf a ear or someone like Rin couldn't possibly have fire emitting from them like that. Maybe all of this was a little bizarre for a kid who hadn't experienced something like that. But those monsters he had seen before also proved this wasn't a joke.

But why one earth was this man after Magnesium? It was surely really common here, Rin was sure of it. Unless he was looking for it in some sort of specific form.

"...I.." Rin scratched his head in confusion. What should he say..? It was true he wanted to owe the man back for what he had done for him. But this was different...

"So...your telling me. A dead person can be clearly seen in Karakura...has a lab in this thing called the Soul Society...wants to gather magnesium from my body and find out about my genetics...and is a soul reaper...?"

This time, the side of Rin's mouth did move slightly. Small sniggers were hear d from his before he fell on his knees bursting out in a laugh. "HAHA! That's the most hilarious thing I've heard all year!" He wiped the tears from his eyes of joy. "I-I'm sorry but everything you just said is impossible..." He replied quickly before breaking out in more laughs. Maybe all of this was set up, the monsters, the flames, the scythe.

Mayuri found disgrace in the boy laughing before him, on his knees and making a mockery of the Captain. If the boy had only realized what a Captain entitled in Soul Society, he’d think twice of making such a joke out of him. Rin was a curious boy, but his imagination did not seem to stretch. Even with proof, he still denied what Mayuri was and where he came from, and what he came here to retrieve. Perhaps the boy would be useless after all, what a pity. Nothing is impossible; Mayuri learned this through his centuries of living. Over 100 years old, he had far more experience and years ahead of Rin to be able to prove this fact. Such a youngster could not comprehend such wonders the universe had to offer, his mind was surely limited.

“If that is what you think, then you are truly of no use to me. You have potential, but you lack the ability to use it. Fun and games are for children, do I look like a child to you? I’m quadruple your age, if not more! Dare you think me crazy, perhaps? Rest assured, I may be, but you must be in order to have imagination and believe. Let me put it this way in words you can understand…” Mayuri crept forward, his feet nearly dragging from amusement. “If you do not expand your beliefs and grab hold to one thing, you will never learn of the outside world and all it has to hold. You will be what I like to call, a simpleton. Now boy tell me, do you really wish to be called that? To live your life as a meaningless vessel with one belief and denying all else that people tell you? You will not get very far in life with such an attitude…”
Mayuri stopped. The same long middle fingered hand moved from his face down to left arm, grabbing hold tightly of it. With enough pressure, it snapped off with a large tug. The tendons broke that held his arm in place. Many a time had this one specific arm come off from battles, so he had prepared a liquid that reformed his flesh all on his own accord. A mad man, but a genius all the same.

He tossed the arm at Rin, bloody and all. His smile widened to that of an insane one, his eyes narrowing looking closely at the half demon. “You think thought this was a set-up, didn’t you? That should be proof enough it was not. I would not rip off my own arm unless I meant the truth. That is not something I can fake.”

Mayuri reached into his haori pulling out a small syringe with a green mixture inside of it. Injecting the needle into his arm he gave a small scowl from the pain. It was a very painful process due to the acid it contained that applied extraordinary pain. It not only hurt but stung. Bones began to extend from his torn limb, layers of blood wrapping around it, and then a layer of skin. At last there was a brand new arm, good as new. He did not know why above all things he was going out of his way to prove to this boy the truth, there was something that told Mayuri he was worth learning about. This was the purpose of his ambition to bring the boy back to his lab.

[center]What a weird day this had turned out to be, What a weird man Rin had met. Rin's laughs soon came to a halt but it wasn't too sudden, he gripped the side of his body as a small stitch had appeared. That was a small lesson to him to not laugh so hard but he couldn't help but feel a little rude of laughing like that in front of someone and judging by the man's facial expression which seemed to be more of a serious one than anything, he wasn't joking. Even so, Rin had found it hard to believe him.

“If that is what you think, then you are truly of no use to me. You have potential, but you lack the ability to use it. Fun and games are for children, do I look like a child to you? The boy blinked at those words that had been spoken, watching the man ere closer to him, even when he felt the need to run or something at that sort at this time he stayed put, he didn't want to laugh or speak another word.

Rin hated being called names and hearing the word Simpleton for the first already didn't sound all to nice, now that he had thought about it, he really was denying pretty much everything Kurotsuchi had told him. He frowned, he didn't want to be called a Simpleton or keep the attitude of his that was shown a few moments ago. He was just unsure whether or not that such a weird thing like the Soul Society existed, it was like saying there was a Heaven when surely no one can prove such a thing. The stories that were spread didn't mean anything to Rin, but maybe that was just him being naive.

Rin watched the man grab a hold of his left arm, What was he doing? Remembering when a Scythe had been hidden from where Mayuri's ear should of been Rin began making a assumption that something like that or worse could be hidden in Mayuri's arm, he shook for a second at the thought, he valued his life and didn't want to die until he had accomplish something he was proud of. A loud snapping sound of bones were heard as Rin's eyes shook, his breathing increased in shock. "H..h...." He tried to speak but no words escaped his mouth, the back of his throat felt sore and achy just then and to when the arm was tossed in front of him all bloody Rin's face turned pale, he quickly looked away at the horrible and sickening sight.

“You think thought this was a set-up, didn’t you? That should be proof enough it was not. I would not rip off my own arm unless I meant the truth. That is not something I can fake.” Rin bit the bottom of his lip lightly, He now had reason to believe that this man was telling the truth, even someone crazy wouldn't do such a thing unless they wanted to end their own life and that would of been pointless for a man who was already dead as he was told by him. He finally found the courage to look back at the man the second a needle was injected within him, within moments, bones, flesh, blood, skin, everything was reforming back to how it was before like it was brand new. Rin exhaled unsteadily, he was unsure of what to do or say. If coming back to this 'lab' he had been told of was a good idea or not. He didn't want to leave Kurotsuchi like this after all the trouble he had caused him, the guilt which he felt from earlier was coming back as his frown was not lifted. "I believe you.." His faint words escaped finally, he really did now. This could no longer be a set-up, flames like that couldn't appear, a arm couldn't be torn off like that and reformed if this was a set up, it really was real. Yet, Rin couldn't speak a word to anyone about this, not that he didn't want to, it was the fact that everyone he would tell would give him the same reaction he gave at first back. They'd call him a liar, they just wouldn't believe him and then he'd become the laughing stock. It was something he had to keep to himself.

"I've been a idiot again..I just...don't want to become a simpleton...I want to be Rin...I'm sorry I didn't believe you..oI'll go back to the lab if it will make you happy...It's the most I can owe you for going out your way to prove such a thing.."

“You really are an interesting boy indeed.” Mayuri cackled, outstretching his arm and flexing it, moving his fingers about to get feeling back into his limb. This boy, Rin, he really was something to behold. There was hidden potential in the lad that Mayuri was sure of. Perhaps he would be of even greater use later on. Once all details were revealed about the boy through research, Mayuri would be able to comprehend the unique features of the boy and why he had demon powers.
Drawing his sword from his abdomen, Mayuri unsheathed the blade, forcing it out in front of him. Pushing it forward, the tip began to disappear in thin air, and soon half the blade. Twisting it to the side like a key, he pulled back. Ripping a hole through the space his sword had previously emerged from, a gate showed, two sliding doors heaving away from one another to allow entry. This was the Senkaimon.
“Well?” He turned to look at Rin. “Are you coming or not? Hurry up boy, or I will change my mind and find someone more worthy of seeking my assistance. ”

Rin took a moment to think, in his own thoughts, he didn't really see himself as interesting at all. If anything, he was the type to get people's attention mainly at his screw ups. He hadn't ever had someone like Mayuri pay attention to him properly like this. He didn't know if he should feel at ease because of it, or not.

Watching Kurotsuchi unsheath the blade, Rin came to the thought of what he was going to do with it. He watched closely to notice that a gate had soon appeared, the sliding doors greeting Mayuri. Rin blinked, it really was obvious that the place Mayuri had spoken of was far greater and advanced than here.

"Well?"

Rin snapped back to reality, "Yes?" He asked, wondering if he had missed something.

"Are you coming or not? Hurry up boy, or I will change my mind and find someone more worthy of seeking my assistance. ”

Rin quickly nodded, rushing so he was by Mayuri's side, a small smile on his face. "I'm coming~!"
